As a student you are expected to do your homework, prepare for tests, take notes, and keep up with your assignments. Often, however, school feels hard because one or more of these areas is underdeveloped. What’s more, you have few places to find answers to questions you have about how to study.
Classroom Matters offers a free Study Skills Workshop where you can get your questions answered in a conversational, open atmosphere designed to give you real solutions to challenge areas – solutions that you can implement in your classes right away.
The Study Skills workshop addresses:
- Note taking – different techniques for different classes to make note taking easy and effective
- Test taking – strategies that address test preparation and minimize test anxiety
- Organization/planning – how to keep up with classes, assignments, and keep parents off your back
- Learning styles – learn how you learn best, and new approaches to make studying work for you
Best of all, this workshop is totally free. We feel that students ages 12-16 will benefit most from this workshop.
Bring a friend but be sure to RSVP to Classroom Matters so we can reserve your space.
